Introduction to Atmosphere | Demo/Lab #2

Here is a seven section web site, each with activities for classroom use. Each section provides background information, general learning concepts, and a list of activities for the following topics:

1. Introduction to the Atmosphere'
2. Introduction to Climate
3. The "Greenhouse Effect" | What is a Greenhouse demo
   
   Materials for Demo:
   For each team of four students:
   a. Two two-liter plastic soda bottle "experimental chambers" (instructions to follow)
   b. Two 14- to 16-oz. plastic containers at least 4 1/2 inches in diameter at the top (sour cream, cottage cheese, or deli containers work well)
   c. Knife or scissors
   d. Tape
   e. Two thermometers
   f. One 150-watt floodlight bulb
   g. Portable reflector lamp
   h. Stand for lamp set-up
   i. Graph paper

5. Introduction to Ozone
6. Stratospheric Ozone
7. Tropospheric Ozone
